The lymphatic system is the “sanitation department” of the body. It takes toxins and debris out of the body. When the system is compromised with removal of nodes due to cancer, or injury of the nodes from an accident, chemotherapy, or excessive pressure on nodes due to obesity, excessive fluid and sometimes wounds may develop.
Lymphedema massage greatly opens pathways, flushes out the lymph nodes, and helps drain fluid. This helps improve skin integrity and quality of life.
