Dear Hospice Nurses A big thank you from all of us from the bottom of our hearts for the care and kindness you gave my husband during his journey home. What a loving and caring group. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Above & Beyond the staff went “above and beyond” in helping with my husband being ablet to die at home as he wished.
We appreciated very much Above & Beyond’s caring and professional work, and we have no doubt our dad was in good hands with all of you.
Thanks to all of you who helped “Mom’s” last few weeks as peaceful as possible. You were all wonderful.
It is difficult to express what your service meant to our family during his illness and passing. Everyone who came to our home was so thoughtful and caring. As [the patient] told several of you, we welcomed you into our home and our hearts. You provide such an important service for families dealing with end-of-life of a loved one.
In my position at Above & Beyond Home Health & Hospice – every so often I find myself reading through stacks of thank-you notes directed to the hospice staff from a client’s family member who has passed away. I’m usually looking for words to describe the service being provided by Hospice because hospice care is commonly mis-interpreted. Usually the family member will write something to the effect of “no words can express how comforting it was to have Above & Beyond hospice with us through this journey.” Although those comments are very heartfelt & expressive… they do not always lend a hand to the Marketing/advertising person with a deadline on a radio script.
Now I sit here wanting to write a thank you note of my own for the care my friends (co-workers) provided my Grandpa at end of life. My pen doesn’t move, so I decide maybe I’ll bake some cookies …the staff is always on the go so they will appreciate a sweet snack. … Humm.., Nah, not even the best bakery in the world couldn’t put as much heart in to their work as a hospice worker does. Flowers pop into my head, women love flowers…they will think that is a lovely gesture. I let out a sigh…. Nope, no flowers can compare to the beauty of being able to provide someone their dying wish to be in their home surrounded by their family. Ok now I’m starting getting frustrated… Gift certificates seem so cold in comparison to a hospice workers warm heart…an award does not match their humble attitude towards caregiving for a complete stranger…blankets are nice but I’m sure they have a million of those..
So here it is… Thank you to the staff & owners of Above & Beyond for making a normally very talkative grand-daughter at loss of words for the un-conditional care you have given my grandparents & me during grandpa’s last few months. There is no “easy” part of your job. Such beautiful people you all are for doing what you do.
Special thanks to: Marcia, Chelsea, Toni, Sue, Leanne McKinsey, Nicole, Carol, Johna, Mindy, Becky
Dear Hospice workers – Thanks so much for the loving care that you gave our mother during her last several weeks of life. We wish you could have known her when she was more expressive and when she was singing as she always had music to sing or hum.
Thanks so much for taking care of our mom. You enabled her to die at home surrounded by her family which is what she wanted.
Dear Above & Beyond Health Care we will always recommend your services. They are top quality with lovely compassionate people.
